Chloé traded a food-writing job in Lyon for Porto in 2020, telling herself it was a one-year adventure. Five years, one rescue dog (Nino) and a much better tolerance for vinho verde later, she's still there, covering culture, food and everyday life in Portugal for Mercearia Portuguesa. She studied culinary arts before switching to writing when she realised she liked describing food more than plating it. Weekends usually involve flea markets, a standing tennis game she mostly loses, and finding the least touristy table at whatever restaurant she's reviewing that week.
