David, his wife Priya and their two kids (10 and 13) moved from Chicago to Cascais in 2021, mostly so the kids could grow up bilingual and David could stop commuting an hour each way. He now covers Portugal's schools and universities for Mercearia Portuguesa — international-school admissions, enrolment paperwork, the whole maze — because he's lived through most of it personally, usually with a coffee in one hand and a school form in the other.
